What is UGAM - Legrand Scholarship Program 2018-19?

 UGAM - Legrand Scholarship Program 2018-19 invites applications from young women who have completed class 10 and class 12 with a minimum of 75% marks. This scholarship is granted to help girls to cover 60% of their college tuition fee or INR 60,000 per annum whichever is less to study B.Tech, B.E and B.Arch at a recognized college or university in India.

Who can apply for this scholarship ?

Girls from pan India can apply

Passed class 12th from India

Scored a minimum of 75% marks in class 10th and 12th

Seeking to take admission or secured admission in B.Tech./BE (preferably in Electrical or Electronics stream) and B.Arch. from India for 2018-19 batch

Preference would be given according to the merit and need of the candidate

What are the benefits ?

INR 60000 p.a. or 60% of tuition fee, whichever is less, would be awarded to 50 eligible students.

What are the selection criteria ?

The selection criteria involve:

Shortlisting of candidates based on their merit, need and family income

Supporting documents for the above-mentioned criteria to be submitted along with the document

The shortlisted candidates will undergo a telephonic round of interview conducted by an experienced panel of interviewers.

The final list of selected students will be published on the website and will receive the personalized scholarship award letter issued by Legrand

Scholarship launch date: 22nd June 2018

Application deadline: 15th July 2018

Final telephonic interview round: 16 - 20th July 2018

The announcement of the selected candidates: 25th July 2018

Scholarship amount transferred: Before the end of August 2018 (subject to document submission)

What are the documents required for the UGAM - Legrand Scholarship Program 2018-19 ?

Following documents need to be uploaded at the time of application submission:

Photo ID card

Age proof (Birth Certificate, Aadhaar Card, Passport, Class 10 school leaving certificate)

Aadhaar Card (if Aadhaar Card is not available, an equivalent document for proof of address)

Class 10 mark sheet

Class 12 mark sheet

Family income certificate or Form 16 of parents/dependents or 6 months bank statement

Passport size photograph

Proof of admission (Provisional) or Fee Receipt (students who are awaiting admission can submit university/college fee structure)

Students can submit supporting documents for extra-curricular activities
